UNIGNORABLE / JACK

Meet Jack.

Jack works in marketing. We’ve all been Jack.

He has dashboards, attribution models, AI tools, seventeen tabs open and absolutely no idea whether anyone remembers the brand.

Jack is the fictional marketer who appears throughout Nobody Remembers Your Marketing. Here is a selection of strips from the book.

Chapter 1

The Drop

The Big Launch

The team celebrates: “It’s live! Our biggest campaign yet!”
A report lists 1,248,932 impressions, 86,247 engagements and reach up 312%.
Jack asks: “Great numbers… but do people actually remember us?”
Jack faces the reader: “Or is it just another drop in the noise?”

Chapter 9

Signal vs Noise

The Dashboard

“Visibility is through the roof!” A dashboard boasts 4.7 million impressions, 83 thousand engagements and visibility up 312%.
Jack asks: “How many customers did we get?”
“Let me just check…” The customer total is three.
Jack looks at the reader: “So… a lot of noise for very little signal.”

Chapter 5

Proof Loops & Pattern Recognition

Apparently We’re Experts

“We’re the UK’s leading experts in waste.” Jack asks: “According to who?”
A presentation lists the claims: leading experts, best in the industry, unrivalled service and market leader.
The evidence slide contains only “(crickets)”.
Jack looks at the reader: “Claims are cheap. Proof travels.”
